💡 Defining our user

Lets meet Sam!

Profile picture.jpg

They love to interact with their favorite writers on social media and at in-person events to learn about their creative process and inspirations. However, Samuel feels that in-person author events can be impersonal, inconvenient, and anxiety inducing.

Sam needs...

- a way to have intimate and uninterrupted conversations with their favorite authors.

- a platform that provides trust, accessibility, and convenience while having these conversations.

Sam's journey

We also mapped out Sam's journey and his high emotions during all phases of his experience on Skolay. After completing the 1:1, Sam appreciates that they were able to have a conversation with their fellow, but they didn't have the experience they hoped and paid for. They could never recover from the lack of preparation and the jarring nature of how the call started.

We learned that through the initial stages of the journey, Sam feels happy or neutral, but once Sam starts preparing for the 1:1 with their fellow, their anxiety increases. This is where experience goes low.
